"Uglies" - Best Book Ever

One of the best books I have read would have to be "Uglies". It is a definate ten on my list! "Uglies" is filled with action, friendship, and a bit of romance. It is diverse in the qualities it possesses. That is what makes is so great! It has been nominated for the Grand Canyon Reader Award. Be sure to keep this book in mind when you vote! Scott Westerfeld is a magnificent author!

The main character, Tally, is a fifteen year old girl who is very close to her sixteenth birthday. The setting is in the future. In this future when everyone turns sixteen they must get an operation. The operation is to make them "pretty". In Tally's city you are considered ugly before the operation. Only a few people in history have ever been born naturally pretty, and Tally isn't one of them. When Tally finds a new friend who is challenging the ideas of her city Tally must make a choice that will change her life forever.

Max6282 you did an amazing job of explaining this book. You're post should've been on the back of the book, not the lousy stuff that really is on the on back. For all of those deciding whether or not to read this book I'll tell you what you should do; read this post again then just read the book!!!!!Over and out!
